2019 McCollough Medical Scholars Forum

The 17th Annual McCollough Medical Scholars Forum will be held on February 8th and 9th.

The McCollough Medical Scholars Forum, sponsored by The University of Alabama’s College of Arts and Sciences, was established by Alabama physician Dr. Gaylon McCollough and his wife, Susan, who are both UA alumni. The Forum’s aim is to emphasize the importance of liberal arts education in the study and practice of medicine. Students will have the opportunity to engage in conversation with forum speakers, invited health care professionals, faculty members, and other guests of the College, regarding humanistic and social issues in medicine. This event is for pre-health students.

This year’s speakers will be:

Dr. Richard Myers, President of HudsonAlpha Institute of Biotechnology in Huntsville, Alabama

Dr. Christina Grabowski, Associate Dean of Admissions and Enrollment Management at The University of Alabama School of Medicine (UASOM)

Dr. William Tillman, Family Medicine Resident at The University Medical Center

Registration for this event can be found on the OHPA Calendar of Events on February 8th.
